So it’s been a while but I’m hoping I can make this a more regular occurrence. I’ve been busy off and on again over the past few months as the world turns upside down, but I think I will finally be able to get my rear in gear and develop a happen of making these updates.
So, what have I been up to? Since last year, I had been planning on studying abroad and doing an internship in the Netherlands. At the end of January this year, I started my journey abroad for the very first time. I meet some great people and had the opportunity to work with many people as they were first introduced to game development. I was there for a little over a month when my school recommended that I return home as soon as I could. Within five days, I had left and returned to the US, leaving four months earlier than I had planned. After getting back, I still had classwork to complete and a new project to get ready so I worked on completed as much as I could before the second half of the course began.
This leads us to the present. I’m primarily working as the project manager for a game project of over thirty people, though I’m also on the design team. We have about six weeks left in the project and it’s going well so far with some hiccups here and there. I’m not sure how much I’m going to be discussing what goes on for that project in these posts as I’d prefer to use these posts to display my design skills, but I’m sure I’ll talk about it at some point.
Which leads us to the future. What is my plan moving forward? Other than working on posting updates more consistently, I’d like to continue working on my data manager tool for Unity as well as mess around with some game ideas I have. If I have time, I’d like to post dev logs about those and include them in these posts.
